01Why WordPress, and why us

Why US businesses still pick WordPress, and hire us to build it

WordPress is free, open-source software, so the site, the content and the hosting choice stay yours. It runs anything from a five-page service site to a content library or a WooCommerce store. What it doesn’t do on its own is stay fast, tidy and connected. That part is our job, and the six things below are where our WordPress builds differ from a theme someone installed and forgot.

  • 01

    You own all of it

WordPress is GPL software. The code, the database and the media library are yours, you can move hosts whenever you like, and nobody can lock you into a platform subscription. We hand over admin access and the repository on day one.

  • 02

Built in the editor your team will use

Some teams want the native block editor (Gutenberg) and reusable patterns. Others already know Elementor. We build in whichever one your marketers will edit in, and lock brand colors, fonts and spacing so a new landing page still looks like you.

  • 03

Speed gets its own line in the plan

We test your real templates against Google’s Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP and CLS) before launch, then fix what’s slow: oversized images, render-blocking scripts, heavy plugins, missing caching.

  • 04

    Redesigns that keep your rankings

Every old URL gets mapped and 301-redirected. Titles, meta descriptions, XML sitemaps and schema markup are set in Yoast or Rank Math, and Google Search Console is checked the week you launch.

  • 05

    WooCommerce when you sell

WooCommerce is a free plugin that turns WordPress into a store. We set up products, checkout with Stripe or PayPal, shipping and US sales tax, and can pass orders to Zoho Inventory and Zoho Books.

  • 06

    Leads go straight into Zoho

Zoho publishes WordPress plugins for Zoho CRM web forms and Zoho SalesIQ chat, and Zoho Bookings pages embed on any page. Your site stops being a brochure and starts filling the pipeline.

02How a WordPress rebuild runs

A WordPress redesign in five sprints, each one signed off

We rebuild WordPress sites in five short sprints: design, blocks, speed, SEO and launch. Each sprint ends with something you can click and approve, so there’s no big reveal at the end and no surprise in the invoice. How long each sprint runs depends on page count and integrations, and the dates are written into your BRD.

  1. Sprint 1

    Design

Sitemap, wireframes and the look of your home page and one inner page, on desktop and phone.

You approve: page list and two designs

  2. Sprint 2

    Blocks

The theme, custom blocks or Elementor templates, then every page built on a staging site.

You approve: the staging site, page by page

  3. Sprint 3

    Speed

Image formats, caching, script loading and plugin cleanup, tested on the templates that matter most.

    You approve: the speed report

  4. Sprint 4

    SEO

Redirect map from old URLs, titles and descriptions, schema, sitemap and internal links.

    You approve: the redirect sheet

  5. Sprint 5

    Launch

DNS switch, forms and chat tested into Zoho, Search Console checked, then editor training for your team.

    You approve: go-live and handover

03Try it · sample scoring

How healthy is your WordPress site? Tick what’s true today

This is the checklist we run on every WordPress site before we quote speed or SEO work. Tick what your site already does and see a sample score out of 100 plus the three fixes we’d start with. It’s our own weighting, not a Google or Lighthouse score, so treat it as a conversation starter.

Speed 0 / 40
SEO 0 / 35
Upkeep 0 / 25

Tick the items your site already does. The score and the fix list update as you go.

The three fixes we’d start with

  1. Resize images and serve WebP or AVIF
  2. Turn on page caching at the server or with a plugin
  3. Map old URLs and add 301 redirects

04WordPress development services

What we build and fix on WordPress for US companies

Our WordPress development services cover new builds, redesigns of tired sites, WooCommerce stores, speed and SEO rescues, and the hosting and care that keep a site healthy after launch. Most projects mix three or four of these. Pick the ones that sound like your situation and bring them to the first call.

  • Custom themes and Gutenberg blocks

A lightweight theme with blocks and patterns made for your content, so editors drag in a testimonial or a pricing table without breaking the layout. Custom fields with ACF where a page needs structured data.

  • Elementor builds

Theme Builder templates, global styles and a short list of widgets, so pages stay consistent and quick.

  • WordPress redesign

New design and structure on a staging copy, with every old URL redirected before the switch.

  • WooCommerce stores

Catalog, checkout, shipping zones, US sales tax setup, subscriptions or bookings when you need them.

  • Speed optimization

Core Web Vitals work on a live site: images, caching, CDN, script loading and plugin cleanup.

  • Technical SEO

Yoast or Rank Math setup, schema, sitemaps, redirects, internal links and local pages for each city you serve.

  • Hosting, security and care

Host setup or a move, firewall, two-factor logins, backups, updates and a monthly health check.

  • Accessibility checks

Contrast, headings, alt text, keyboard paths and form labels reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA as part of the build.

  • Headless WordPress

WordPress as the content back end with a React or Next.js front end, for teams that need an app-like site.

Gutenberg or Elementor? Here’s how we usually decide

Block editor (Gutenberg)

Built into WordPress itself, so there’s no extra licence and less code on each page. We lean this way when speed matters most, when the site is content-heavy, or when we’re writing custom blocks for your exact sections.

  • No page-builder licence to renew
  • Leaner pages, easier Core Web Vitals
  • Custom blocks keep editors inside the brand

Elementor

A visual drag-and-drop builder with a free version and paid Pro plans. We lean this way when your marketing team already knows it, or wants to lay out new campaign pages without asking a developer.

  • Familiar to a lot of marketers
  • Fast to make one-off landing pages
  • Needs discipline to stay quick, which we set up

05WordPress and Zoho integration

Your WordPress site, plugged into Zoho CRM and the rest of Zoho

This is the part most WordPress agencies skip. A contact form posts a lead into Zoho CRM with the page it came from. SalesIQ chat shows who’s on the site and hands hot visitors to sales. Zoho Bookings puts a real calendar on your “Book a call” page. Tap or hover a tile to see what moves between WordPress and Zoho.

When Zoho Sites fits better

We build on Zoho Sites too. If you need a simple marketing site, don’t want to think about hosting or plugin updates, and already live in Zoho, it’s often the easier choice. WordPress earns its keep when you publish a lot, sell through WooCommerce, or want full control of the code and the host.

  • Zoho CampaignsNewsletter signup forms that add subscribers to the right mailing list.

  • StripeCard and wallet payments at WooCommerce checkout or on a payment form.
  • Zoho AnalyticsLeads by page and campaign, next to the deals they turned into.

06Moving to WordPress

Leaving Wix, Squarespace or Webflow? Here’s what moves where

A WordPress migration is mostly content and URLs. Pages, posts, images and products come across, the design is rebuilt properly rather than copied, and every old address is redirected so Google and your backlinks follow. Changing your CRM at the same time? Our Switch to Zoho team can move it in the same project.

07WordPress costs, line by line

What does a WordPress website cost to run?

The WordPress software itself costs nothing. What you pay for is hosting, a domain, any premium theme or plugin licences, payment fees if you sell, and the people who build and look after it. Pick your kind of site to see which lines apply to you. We don’t print totals here, because hosting plans and plugin licences vary too much to be honest about in one number.

Cost lineWho you payHow oftenWhat drives the price

Build and care with usElite Tech GlobalOnce, then monthly careFixed price for the build in a signed BRD; care scoped to how often the site changes

Hosting and WordPress maintenance after launch

Most sites we build stay on a care plan. You choose the host: a managed WordPress host for simplicity, or AWS when you need more control and we’re already running your cloud. Either way we look after the boring parts every month.

  • UpdatesCore, theme and plugins, tested on staging first
  • BackupsDaily, stored off-site, with a restore drill
  • SecurityFirewall, malware scans, two-factor admin logins
  • Speed checkCore Web Vitals reviewed once a month
  • UptimeMonitoring with an alert to us if the site goes down
  • Small editsText, image and page changes your team sends over

A brochure site on a good host is cheap to run; the money goes on building it well. Plugin makers and hosts reprice their yearly plans often, so we list the exact licences and hosting plan your build needs in the BRD before you buy any of them.

08WordPress vs the website builders

WordPress vs Webflow, Squarespace, Wix and Zoho Sites

WordPress wins on ownership, plugins and content scale. The hosted builders win on having fewer moving parts. Here’s the honest side-by-side we walk US clients through before they commit to a platform.

Why we still build most US business sites on WordPress

  1. You can leave. Export everything, change host or agency, and the site keeps working.
  2. Content-heavy sites with hundreds of posts, guides or location pages are where WordPress feels most at home.
  3. WooCommerce is free and runs on the same site as your content, so products and articles share one search and one login.
  4. Almost any tool you add later, from a membership plugin to an LMS, already has a WordPress plugin.
  5. Custom blocks, custom post types and custom fields let us model your content instead of squeezing it into a template.

Where another platform can make sense: a design studio that lives in Webflow will be happier staying there. A five-page site with nobody to own updates might be better on Squarespace or Zoho Sites. A product-first brand selling at scale may want Shopify instead of WooCommerce. We build on several of these, so we’ve got no reason to push you onto the wrong one.

Running WooCommerce and Shopify side by side? It happens more than you’d think: content on WordPress, checkout on Shopify. We can connect both to Zoho so customers and orders land in one CRM.

Platform features change every year, and Webflow and Wix have both reshuffled their plans recently, so we re-check the exact plan you’d need before recommending a move.

10WordPress questions

Before you hire a WordPress agency, read these

Straight answers on WordPress cost, Gutenberg vs Elementor, speed, SEO during a redesign, WooCommerce and connecting the site to Zoho. Want to talk through your own site? The first call costs nothing.

How much does a WordPress website cost for a US business?

The WordPress software is free. Running a site means paying for hosting, a domain, any premium theme or plugin licences, payment fees if you sell, and someone to build and maintain it. Our build is a fixed price agreed in a signed BRD once we know the page count, editor and integrations, and care plans are billed monthly after launch. Walking us through your current site on a first call is free.

Do you build WordPress sites with Gutenberg or Elementor?

Both. We use the native block editor (Gutenberg) with custom blocks when speed and a lean codebase matter most, and Elementor when your marketing team already knows it or wants to build campaign pages visually. In either case we lock brand styles so new pages stay on brand.

Can you redesign our WordPress site without losing Google rankings?

That is what the redirect map is for. We crawl every URL on the current site, keep the same addresses where we can, 301-redirect the rest, carry over titles and descriptions, and check Google Search Console after launch for errors.

What are Core Web Vitals and how do you make WordPress fast?

Core Web Vitals are Google’s three page experience measures: Largest Contentful Paint (good is 2.5 seconds or less), Interaction to Next Paint (200 milliseconds or less) and Cumulative Layout Shift (0.1 or less). On WordPress we improve them with properly sized WebP or AVIF images, page caching, a CDN, fewer and lighter plugins, and scripts that load only where they are needed.

Can WordPress forms send leads to Zoho CRM?

Yes. Zoho publishes a WordPress plugin, Zoho CRM Lead Magnet, that embeds Zoho CRM web forms or connects Contact Form 7 so submissions arrive as leads. We also use Zoho Forms or Zoho Flow when a form needs conditional fields, file uploads or extra steps, and we record which page the lead came from.

Can we add Zoho SalesIQ chat and Zoho Bookings to a WordPress site?

Yes. The Zoho SalesIQ plugin adds live chat, chatbots and visitor tracking to every page, and chats can be saved to the visitor’s record in Zoho CRM. Zoho Bookings booking pages embed on any WordPress page so visitors can pick a time and get reminders.

WordPress or Zoho Sites: which should we choose?

Choose Zoho Sites if you want a simple marketing site with no hosting or plugin updates to manage and you already run your business on Zoho. Choose WordPress if you publish a lot of content, need WooCommerce or a specific plugin, or want to own the code and pick your host. We build on both, so we will recommend whichever fits.

Do you build WooCommerce stores?

Yes. We set up WooCommerce products, checkout with Stripe or PayPal, shipping zones and US sales tax, plus subscriptions or bookings where needed. We can connect the store to Zoho Inventory for stock, Zoho Books for accounting and Zoho CRM for customers. If Shopify suits your store better, we build on Shopify too.

Do you offer WordPress hosting and maintenance?

Yes. We set up hosting on a managed WordPress host or on AWS, and our care plans cover core, theme and plugin updates tested on staging, daily off-site backups, security scans, uptime monitoring, a monthly speed check and small content edits.

Can you move our website from Wix, Squarespace or Webflow to WordPress?

Yes. We move pages, posts, images and products, rebuild the design properly in WordPress, replace forms and booking tools with Zoho CRM and Zoho Bookings where that helps, and redirect every old URL so search traffic follows.

How long does a WordPress rebuild take?

It depends on the number of pages and templates, how much content moves, and whether WooCommerce or Zoho integrations are involved. We work in five sprints (design, blocks, speed, SEO, launch), and the signed BRD gives each sprint a date before work begins.

Is WordPress secure enough for a business website?

WordPress itself is actively maintained, and most problems come from outdated plugins, weak passwords and missing backups. We keep plugins few and updated, add a firewall and malware scanning, require two-factor login for admins, and keep daily off-site backups we have test-restored.

Do you build headless WordPress sites?

Yes, when it is worth it. WordPress stays the place editors write content, and a React or Next.js front end reads it through the REST API or WPGraphQL. It suits app-like sites and large content teams. For most service business sites, a well-built standard WordPress theme is simpler and cheaper to run.

Do you check WordPress sites for accessibility?

Yes. As part of every build we review color contrast, heading order, alt text, keyboard navigation and form labels against WCAG 2.1 AA, and we show your editors how to keep new content accessible.

11How a WordPress project starts

Before any design work, we agree what the site has to do

Four steps turn “we need a new website” into a written plan with a fixed price. A small rebuild is often scoped straight from the first call. A larger job, say a WooCommerce store with Zoho Inventory and several hundred products, may need a paid scoping and BRD phase first, and we’ll quote that before it starts.

WordPress builds run online for companies across the US, Canada and Latin America; local teams in Southern California can come by the Glendale office for design reviews.

  2. Site reviewYour pages, traffic, forms, plugins and hosting, plus the checklist above
